The Czech Republic will acquire the high mobility off-road 4×4 MARS vehicle solution in the S-330 version, for the use of RBS 70 NG air defense systems.

The expected order will cover a total of 24 MARS armored vehicle systems equipped with the national company SVOS’s turret.
With the acquisition of the short range RBS 70 NG system, integrated with a turret on the MARS vehicle chassis, the Czech Army will gain greater mobility, ballistic and anti-mine protection for the crew.
The RBS 70 NG three-launcher set can be easily attached to the MARS vehicle’s turret from SVOS, just as the single launcher can be removed and used on the ground with its normal tripod.

Currently, the Czech Army has a total of 16 old RBS 70 sets and 16 modern RBS 70 NG (new generation) sets; the contract that will be signed with Saab by July includes the supply of an additional 8 portable RBS 70 NG anti-aircraft missile systems with 80 missiles, training materials and tools, spare parts, maintenance and repair equipment, and personnel training.
The order’s value is SEK 1.86 billion, equivalent to approximately EUR 170 million.
