Ultra Maritime will provide its most advanced and high-performance sonar suite for Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) to the Royal Netherlands Navy and the Belgian Navy on the basis of a CAD $200 million contract.
The Low-Frequency Active Passive Sonar (LFAPS) system by Ultra Maritime combines state-of-the-art sonar to detect submarines and torpedo threats in various conditions.
Ultra Maritime and COMMIT, the procurement agency of the Dutch Defense that also works for the ASW frigates on behalf of the Belgian Defense, have committed themselves to providing global solutions to adapt to evolving marine threats.
The Canadian policy of technological incentives has favored the economic and technological growth of Ultra Maritime in Canada.
The company has also committed to contributing to the Dutch defense industrial base and meeting Dutch offset obligations.
