The **Defense Security Cooperation Agency** (DSCA) has released the required certification, notifying Congress.

**The Government of the United Kingdom has requested the purchase of six additional multiband** (NMT) **very high frequency maritime terminals** (AEHF) which will be added to a previously implemented case whose value was below the Congressional notification threshold.

The original case of foreign military sale (FMS), valued at 41.02 million dollars (14.63 million dollars in MDE), included two NMT AEHF. **This notification concerns a combined total of eight NMT AEHF**.

**The British Royal Navy will install the NMT system aboard Dreadnought** ballistic missile submarines (SSBN) currently under construction in four units, **to enable AEHF satellite communications with coastal sites, Royal Navy ships and submarines, and the UK’s Ministry of Defence** (UK MoD) in an uncontested threat environment.

**The lead contractor will be RTX Corporation**, based in Arlington, Virginia.

The implementation of this sales proposal will not require the assignment of additional US Government or contractor representatives in the United Kingdom.

**The NTM AEHF system is used by the US Navy to access secure and reliable satellite communications through the AEHF SATCOM constellation**.

Further, the NMT provides access to broadband communications through the Defense Satellite Communications System (DSCS) and Wideband Global SATCOM (WGS) constellations.
