The Hungarian variant of the Lynx arrived in Italy on December 31, 2023, at the Army’s Multifunctional Testing Center in Montelibretti (Rome). Designed by Rheinmetall in 2015, this tracked vehicle is a state-of-the-art platform under the Italian Army’s AICS program (Armored Infantry Combat System). It features a modular design and high versatility, enabling it to fulfill multiple roles, such as an infantry fighting vehicle, troop transport, mobile command post, or ambulance.
Army engineers and testers conducted a series of evaluations to assess the vehicle’s mobility, protection, firepower, and interoperability capabilities.
