Introduction
Today, at the Central Military Library of the Army Palace, the Deputy Chief of Staff of the Army, Gen.C.A. Salvatore Cuoci and CEO of Sport and Health S.p.A., Dr. Diego Nepi Molineris, signed a Protocol of Agreement aimed at the joint development of initiatives dedicated to the promotion of sports practice, psychophysical well-being, social inclusion, and the culture of lawfulness.

Sport and Health S.p.A. is the public company that the government has identified as the national reference for the promotion of sport and healthy lifestyle through a comprehensive system of activities, infrastructures, educational programs, and interventions in favor of communities, with special attention to youth and the most fragile sections of the population.
The collaboration between the Army and Sport and Health, sanctioned by the Protocol, stems from the sharing of common values such as discipline, solidarity, commitment, social integration, and attention to collective well-being, and aims to strengthen the role of institutions in promoting the culture of sport as an educational and aggregative tool.

About the Protocol
The Protocol envisages social inclusion initiatives based on sports practice and the dissemination of values of legality, correct nutrition, and wellness, organization of sporting events, and training activities in different territorial situations (even involving the peripheral structures of the Army and Sport and Health).
It also provides for the promotion and monitoring of health and lifestyle, through specific research conducted on Army personnel, sharing of sports infrastructure to facilitate access to sport for young people and subjects in conditions of physical, social, and economic fragility, and summer activities dedicated to children (carried out in “summer camp” mode, aimed at transmitting shared values).

The Army will provide structures, professionalism, and skills, guarantee the participation of its representatives in training activities and contribute to the realization of educational and sports initiatives on the territory.
Sport and Health, for its part, will offer its wealth of structures, instructors, testimonials, organizational skills and technical support, as well as the competencies of the “School of Sport” and specialized bodies such as “Sport Impact” and “Sport Space”.
The Protocol also provides for the annual realization of a joint conference aimed at illustrating the results of the activities carried out.
Conclusion
The signing of the Protocol confirms the commitment of the Italian Army to promote sport not only as an essential element of military training but also as a fundamental resource for growth, education, and the well-being of the community.
