De Havilland Canada and Avincis Enhance Cooperation in CL-215/415 Fleet Program

De Havilland Aircraft of Canada Limited and Avincis announce a range of new joint initiatives to support the CL-215, CL-215T, and CL-415 aircraft, with the goal of strengthening the technical and operational solutions available to CL fleet operators worldwide.

As part of the agreement, Avincis will transfer to De Havilland Canada the ownership of the Supplemental Type Certificates (STC) related to ADS-B and FMS systems installed on CL series aircraft. This initiative will allow the integration of these systems into De Havilland Canada’s official spare parts catalogue, thus ensuring broader and standardized access to critical solutions for all operators. Furthermore, future modification opportunities guided by Avincis will be developed in cooperation with De Havilland Canada for CL aircraft.

‘We are pleased to announce these significant joint initiatives with Avincis,’ said Brian Chafe, Chief Executive Officer of De Havilland Canada. ‘Working with one of the leading global operators of our firefighting fleet enhances our ability to best support our customers. This agreement demonstrates the value of cooperation in the development of new modifications and improvements.’

‘Avincis is excited to initiate closer collaboration with De Havilland Canada to provide increasingly advanced solutions to our customers,’ added John Boag, Group Chief Executive Officer of Avincis. ‘For over twenty years, we have managed and maintained the world’s largest fleet of CL-415s: an experience that has allowed us to develop strong competencies in maintenance, design, and engineering, which we will now make available to CL operators globally.’

This collaboration is part of De Havilland Canada’s ongoing investment in supporting the CL fleet and enhances Avincis’ extensive experience in design, outfitting, and MRO activities, thanks to its established presence throughout Europe.
