A valuable opportunity to explore and seek further forms of cooperation, including in the field of Defense, in light of the historic friendship and strong collaborative relationship between our countries, based on mutual trust, shared ideas, and common goals. Italy expressed full recognition of Tunisia’s centrality and relevance in the security and economic dynamics of the Mediterranean, Sahel, and North Africa regions, areas of high strategic interest.
The Government, with the ‘Mattei Plan,’ aims to promote new synergy, based on equal relations and mutual recognition. The security of Italy and Europe is linked to the security, economic development, and stability of Africa. Minister Crosetto meets his Tunisian counterpart.
