Anduril Chosen for the US Army’s Integrated Battle Command System Maneuver Program

In the United States, the Army has selected Anduril Industries for the Integrated Battle Command System Maneuver (IBCS-M) program, choosing “Lattice” as the next-generation fire control platform for counter-unmanned aerial systems defense (C-UAS).

The IBCS-M will provide the US Army with the commanding, controlling, and integrating framework for a wide range of drone systems, enabling a single operator to manage multiple threats at once.

The system has been developed to integrate the data gathered from various sensors, automate fire control, and incorporate new functionalities, thus reducing the operator workload and compressing time from detection to effective threat neutralization.

The Field Test of IBCS-M and Lattice

At a recent demonstration conducted at the Yuma Proving Grounds, Anduril highlighted the capabilities of Lattice, the foundation of the IBCS-M.

Indeed, in a week-long test session, Lattice integrated a sensor and effectuator in a few hours, executed real interceptions, achieving four hits out of four.

Furthermore, the system demonstrated advanced functions like improved autonomous fire control, distributed tracking, and optimization of the so-called “kill-chain.”

Modernization and Adapting to New Threats

The IBCS-M initiative falls within the scope of a broader modernization initiative that is rethinking how the US Army approaches and leads combat.

For Anduril, current legacy systems were designed in an era where predictability of scenarios and threats predominated; today’s world has changed rapidly, chaotically, and requires open, extensible infrastructure capable of evolving at the same pace as the new threats.

In this context, Anduril and the US Army are committed to creating a unified command and control (C2) ecosystem to transform data into decision-making advantage and ensure that US Forces can see, decide, and act more quickly in the era of autonomy.
