BAE Systems and Turkish Aerospace Industries Forge Partnership in UAS Sector

Introduction

BAE Systems and Turkish Aerospace Industries announced that they have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish a strategic alliance aimed at exploring collaborative opportunities in the development of unmanned aerial systems (UAS).

Details of the Agreement

Under the agreement, experts from Turkish Aerospace, Turkey’s leading aerospace and defense company, will collaborate with combat aircraft experts from BAE Systems to explore common opportunities in unmanned systems.

The MoU is built on the solid existing relationship between the two companies and will allow taking the already proven capabilities of BAE Systems and TAI in unmanned aerial systems (UAS) to new levels.

Turkish Aerospace Industries UAS Portfolio

Turkish Aerospace Industries manufactures the UAS/UCAV Anka and Anka III as well as the twin-engine Anksungur; Turkish Aerospace’s portfolio also includes the tactical systems ŞİMŞEK and Super ŞİMŞEK.
