Named Sindhu, the vehicle will be licensed and manufactured in India by Larsen & Toubro Ltd. (L&T) that will provide the Indian Army with a comprehensive Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) package for initial deployment, maintenance, and lifecycle sustainment of the vehicles.

The BvS10 Sindhu will be manufactured at the Armoured Systems Complex in Hazira, with design and technical support from BAE Systems Hägglunds, the original designer and developer of the vehicle.

The Sindhu is an upgraded version of the BvS10, specifically adapted for the terrain and climate of India, including high altitude, desert, marshy areas, and amphibious environments.

An upgraded BvS10 to the Sindhu standard successfully and flawlessly completed a series of challenging tests, showcasing exceptional performance in both sea level conditions and high-altitude regions.

The BvS10 Sindhu program will yield increased operational, strategic, and tactical mobility to the various deployment scenarios of the Indian Army, aiding their efforts to modernize their operational capabilities.

Features of the BvS10
The articulated mobility of the BvS10 ensures ideal maneuverability over various terrains including snow, ice, rock, sand, mud, marshes, and steep mountainous environments. The vehicle’s amphibious features further allow it to operate in flooded areas or coastal waters.

The BvS10 can transport personnel and supplies, as well as serve as a platform for weapons capable of tackling any threat in the modern operating environment.

The modular design allows the BvS10 to be reconfigured for different missions including personnel transport, command and control (C2), ambulance service, vehicle repair and recovery, logistics support, situational awareness, and as a weapons platform.

The vehicle is currently in service in Austria, France, the Netherlands, Sweden, Ukraine, and the United Kingdom, and has also been ordered by the German Army (Heer).
