NATO’s C-17 Globemaster III Training Centre in Hungary
In Hungary, at Pápa, the Strategic Airlift Capability (SAC) simulator training centre for the C-17 Globemaster III was inaugurated.
This centre was built inside a new building of 1,438 square meters with funds from NATO, which runs the 3 C-17A’s delivered in 2009 as part of the SAC initiative at Pápa.
NATO’s Globemaster III crews can now complete maintenance simulation training and capacity development in Hungary.
About SAC Program
The SAC program, which involves twelve nations, was established in 2008 to ensure the strategic air transport capacity of their Armed Forces.
Every country participating in the SAC program has a certain number of C-17 flight hours reserved for their own needs.
