The European CSG Group, through MSM North America, wins a contract with the U.S. Army for the most advanced ammunition loading plant in North America.
This is a unique case where a strategic project for the American military is entrusted to a company owned by a European defense industrial group. CSG is present in Italy with Fiocchi Munizioni and Armi Perazzi.
The European group Czechoslovak Group (CSG) – also present in Italy through Fiocchi Munizioni and Armi Perazzi – has secured a contract with the U.S. Army for the design, construction, and commissioning of the most advanced assembly and loading plant for large caliber ammunition in North America through MSM North America.
The contract for the Future Artillery Complex (FAC)
The contract for the Future Artillery Complex (FAC), which will be located at the Iowa Army Ammunition Plant, was recently signed between MSM North America and the U.S. Department of Defense.
The FAC will provide the U.S. Army with a scalable, flexible, and economically sustainable loading, assembly, and packaging (LAP) structure, designed according to the principles of lean manufacturing and based on robotics, automation, and integrated control and data acquisition systems, with the aim of ensuring maximum safety for operators and consistent high quality of the product.
The interventions
Michal Strnad, the owner and chairman of the Czechoslovak Group’s board of directors, said: ‘Congratulations to Jason Gaines, CEO of MSM North America, and his team on securing the contract for the construction of the Future Artillery Complex for the U.S. Army.’

Czechoslovak Group (CSG) and MSM North America
The Czechoslovak Group (CSG), is a key player in the production of large caliber ammunition.
MSM North America is the prime contractor and integrator of the project, responsible for design, construction, and system implementation in coordination with the U.S. Army.
The Future Artillery Complex (FAC)
The FAC, a Government-owned, contractor-operated (GOCO) facility, enhances manufacturing resilience and responsiveness to demand surges, ensuring operational readiness and supply continuity.
