Fincantieri Delivers the MPCS/PPA “KRI BRAWIJAYA-320” to the Indonesian Navy

Along with its twin, the KRI PRABU SILIWANGI-321, it plays a crucial role in the strategic partnership between Fincantieri and the Indonesian Ministry of Defense. The two PPAs represent the major combat units of the Indonesian Navy, contributing to the stability of the Indo-Pacific region, and the protection of Indonesian national interests.**Technical characteristics of the unit: PPA – Multipurpose Combat Ship**nThe MPCS/PPA is a highly versatile class of ships, with the ability to perform a wide range of missions, including front-line combat operations, patrol with sea rescue capabilities, and Civil Protection operations. Furthermore, the unit can deploy fast RHIB (Rigid Hull Inflatable Boat) boats using side cranes or a launch ramp at the stern. The unit is 143 meters in length, can reach speeds over 31 knots, accommodates 171 crew members and is equipped with a combined diesel and gas turbine propulsion plant (CODAG) along with an electric propulsion system.
