Orizzonte Sistemi Navali (OSN), a joint venture equally participated by Fincantieri and Leonardo, with respective shares of 51% and 49%, and OCCAR (Organisation for Joint Armament Co-operation) have signed the in-service support contract Through Life Sustainment Management (TLSM 2), continuing a long-standing strategic collaboration initiated with the delivery of the first FREMM class frigates and their related logistical support. The TLSM2 is a service support contract for all the systems and devices of the FREMM units built and delivered by OSN to the Marina Militare.
The agreement, signed by the Managing Director of Orizzonte Sistemi Navali, Giovanni Sorrentino, and by the Director of OCCAR, Joachim Sucker, has a total value of approximately 764 million euros (of which about 335 million are optional). The related sub-supply contracts with Fincantieri and Leonardo, which will have a value of approximately 265 million euros (of which about 130 are optional) and about 190 million euros (of which about 78 are optional) respectively, are also currently being signed. Also, with other companies in the sector, including MBDA, Elettronica, and TMDS.
