French E-3F Aircraft Maintenance and Support
In France, despite the Ministry of the Armed Forces initiating the purchase program of the first pair of Saab/Bombardier GlobalEye AEW&C aircraft, the support and maintenance program for the current Boeing E-3F AWACS continues.

New Ten-Year Contract for Technical Support
Indeed, the DMAé – Direction de la Maintenance Aéronautique has announced it has signed a new ten-year contract with Air France Industries KLM Engineering & Maintenance to secure technical support and maintenance for the Boeing E-3F line in service with the Armée de l’Air et de l’Espace.
Contract Incorporates High-Value Services
The contract covers all fleet activities, with an overall availability requirement, also incorporating high-value-added services. In the contract entered by the DMAé, services of detailed logistic engineering, monitoring, and proactive obsolescence management were planned.
Four Boeing E-3F AWACS Servicing
The four Boeing E-3F AWACS entered service with the Armée de l’Air (and now also de l’Espace) in 1991 and will be withdrawn from service by 2035. France, in addition to ordering an initial pair of GlobalEye AEW&C which will be delivered in 2030-2031, has an option for a second pair of these radar surveillance, early warning, and command and control aircraft.
