In Germany, Helsing, a leading company in the defense sector, has signed an agreement to acquire Grob Aircraft SE. The aim is to develop new capabilities for air warfare, combining Grob Aircraft’s experience in composite aircraft production with Helsing’s artificial intelligence.
Based in Germany, Grob Aircraft specializes in the production of aircraft for flight training. It offers lightweight and aerodynamic technology, ideal for Helsing’s AI solutions.
The two companies have already collaborated successfully on the Cirra product, which evaluates electronic warfare threats on combat aircraft.
The acquisition aims at boosting both companies in the air combat sector, leveraging Grob Aircraft’s specialist skills in the manufacture of composite material aircraft.
The acquisition was made by Helsing from H3 Aerospace GmbH & Co KG, with all parties involved agreeing to keep the details of the deal confidential, subject to necessary regulatory approvals.
