Spanish company Indra has successfully tested its Nemus radar for active protection against drones and projectiles on Leopard 2 tanks at the CENAD of Ejército de Tierra in Saragossa. The tests were supervised by Brigadier General Luis Sanz Muñoz and confirmed the possibility of integrating the radar into the Leopard 2 platform. The Nemus system, the most advanced in Europe, uses a lightweight AESA radar to detect and neutralize various types of threats, including drones and supersonic projectiles. Equipped with intelligence to distinguish fake targets and withstand enemy interference, Nemus can operate in extreme weather conditions. These tests represent a step forward in defending military vehicles against potential attacks. Crucial to ensuring the sovereignty and autonomy of European armies, Nemus is vital for modern military operations and defense from threats such as drones. Indra has developed this technology as part of its commitment to digitizing military vehicles and making them smarter, consolidating its position in the ground platform market thanks to acquisitions, partnerships and strategic agreements with key industry operators.
