Overview
The Tyrolean company Kaltenbach, producer of special EMPL vehicles, has secured a new order of around 30 million euros from the Austrian Armed Forces (Bundesheer) for the production of 62 tiltable, 40 units with crane console and 75 tipping trailers.
History of Collaboration
This order reaffirms the ÖBH’s trust in the quality and reliability of the ‘Made in Tirol‘ products. The collaboration between EMPL and the Austrian Armed Forces has been ongoing for years and the previous order of 800 mobile cases assures a use of the production capacity until 2028.
Features
The vehicles produced are equipped with advanced technology and features such as a durable steel structure, a robust Rheinmetall MAN 6×6 frame and special accessories to perform various functions. This order represents economic stability for the region and the safeguarding of significant jobs.
Current Production
Currently, there are 15 tiltable with removable rear crane, 17 additional tiltables with crane console and 14 tandem tipping trailers in production.
