A P.180 Avanti EVO for the Financial Guard: An Expansion in Air Fleet

Piaggio Aerospace has announced the signing of a new contract with the Financial Guard (GdF) for the supply of a P.180 Avanti EVO aircraft, including logistic support and options for additional aircraft and/or supplies.

The new aircraft will expand the already operational fleet of the GdF, which includes two P.180 Avanti II. This will bolster the rapid tactical transport capacity and operational availability.

The P.180 Avanti EVO for the Financial Guard is the technological evolution of the iconic aircraft: In addition to being quieter and more environmentally conscious, it has updated onboard systems, a wider door for cargo and medevac operations, and an extra tank for increased autonomy and mission flexibility.

This contract comes at a strategic time for Piaggio Aerospace, recently acquired by the Turkish group Baykar Technologies, a global leader in the field of unmanned aircraft.
