Rheinmetall Landsysteme GmbH and Indra have signed an MoU to collaborate on armored vehicle projects for the Spanish Armed Forces, reinforcing their strategic partnership which also includes an agreement with Rheinmetall Electronics on the Leopard 2E combat system.
Rheinmetall is a significant global supplier of armored vehicles with experience in designing and producing various vehicles, while Indra is a leading Spanish defense company engaged in designing systems like the Lince BMS and Maestre mission system.
Moreover, Indra specializes in Leopard 2 electronic systems and provides simulation solutions for various vehicles.
Overall, this collaboration leverages the expertise of both companies to support the defensive needs of the Spanish army.
Indra is investing in the ability to integrate and produce armored vehicles in Spain, closely collaborating with Rheinmetall to modernize the Spanish Armed Forces’ combat vehicle fleet.
This initiative is part of Indra’s strategy to strengthen military vehicle production and digitization capabilities in the country.
According to Eduardo Veen Martinez, Executive Director of Rheinmetall Landsysteme, the agreement between these two leading European defense companies aims to support and enhance national defense capabilities, fostering alliances and partnerships to unite European forces.
