The Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA) has issued the required certification, notifying Congress of this potential sale.

The Government of the United Kingdom has requested to purchase equipment and services to support the logistical support of the contractor for the C-17 (Globemaster III) aircraft fleet of the United Kingdom.

The following items will be included: engine components, parts and accessories; major and minor modifications; identification numbers of software programs; spare parts, consumables and accessories, as well as support for repairs and returns; provision and support of classified and unclassified software; classified and unclassified publications and technical documentation; engineering, technical and logistical support services of the United States Government and the contractor and other related elements of logistical and program support.

The fleet of C-17 aircraft of the Royal Air Force (RAF) provides strategic air transport capability in direct support of US and coalition operations worldwide.

The main contractor will be The Boeing Company, based in Arlington, Virginia. At the moment, the United States Government is unaware of any proposed offset agreement related to this potential sale.

The implementation of this proposed sale will not require the assignment of additional representatives of the US Government or contractors in the United Kingdom.
