UK and Norway Join the Multinational CAVS Program

The United Kingdom and Norway have decided to join the multinational Common Armoured Vehicle System (CAVS) by signing the related Technical Agreement.

The two countries have respectively become the sixth and seventh to join, following Finland, Latvia, Sweden, Germany, and Denmark, and will move on to the next stages of the program to meet their needs in terms of protected mobility capabilities.

The CAVS Program

The CAVS program, led by Patria, provides its members with a modern and versatile armoured vehicle, designed for complex military operations today, while effectively developing shared defense capabilities and significantly reducing delivery times.

Furthermore, by leveraging the local industrial capabilities of the member countries, it is possible to provide independent maintenance security and support, maintenance, and repair services in every situation.

Patria has already received orders for nearly 1,000 Patria 6×6 vehicles and has delivered more than 250 through the CAVS program.

Patria and Babcock International Group

Patria and the Babcock International Group (“Babcock”) have signed a cooperation agreement for the production of Patria 6×6 vehicles intended for the multinational Common Armoured Vehicle (CAVS) project in the United Kingdom.

Babcock will, therefore, be Patria’s regional partner and will produce the Patria 6×6 vehicles for the British Army.
