Based on the freshly signed contract, Terma will install advanced systems such as ACMDS (Advanced Countermeasures Dispenser System), PIDS (Pylon Integrated Dispensing System), ECIPS (Electronic Combat Integrated Pylon System) and AAMS (Audio Management System) to increase pilot awareness, survivability, and reduce workload.

These systems provide warnings, signals, and radio messages in a 360-degree representation to improve the pilot’s communication and situational awareness, and protection during operational missions.

Moreover, the planned upgrades include active and electrical noise reduction to decrease stress and fatigue on the pilots during missions.

Terma A/S will also provide mission planning tools, ground support equipment, and engineering assistance. These contributions are essential to ensure the delivered F-16s are fully mission-ready and tailored to the operational needs of the FAA.

Minister Petri also oversaw preparations for the arrival of the first half dozen F-16s in Argentina to take place this coming December, highlighting the importance of this agreement for enhancing the capabilities of the FAA.

Argentina has purchased 24 F-16AM/BMs from Denmark capable of flight, plus a 25th model already transferred to the South American country and used solely for ground training.
