Supporting the Missions

These L3Harris systems will support the maritime and land patrol and reconnaissance missions conducted by the RCAF’s Posesidons.

About the System

Containing up to 7 sensors at the same time, including up to 3 lasers, the WESCAM MX-20 is a perfect high-performance match for AIMS-ISR to perform today’s multi-role operations.
When integrated with AIMS-ISR, the WESCAM MX-20 operates from high altitude without limitations for long-range maritime patrol (MPA) and persistent surveillance missions, all referenced with AIMS-ISR’s mobile maps, mission management, and multi-role capabilities.

The Technology

WESCAM MX-20 technology will provide Canada with an advanced solution for ISR imaging, essential for national and maritime security.

A Milestone for L3Harris Technologies

This contract for L3Harris Technologies also represents the milestone of 8,000 EO/IR WESCAM MX systems delivered worldwide, confirming the reliability of these systems.
L3Harris’s MX systems are used in over 87 countries to support missions on various aerial, land, and maritime platforms.
This new contract adds to the previous 11 WESCAM MX-20 systems announced by L3Harris for remote control aircraft last year, always destined for Canada.
